As stated by John F. Kennedy, "The word 'crisis' in Chinese is composed of two characters. One represents danger and the other represents opportunity. At The Even-Steven Foundation, we focus on the opportunity during a crisis.  By providing micro-donations across multiple pillars, we provide the opportunity for people to avoid the dangers during a crisis.  We believe the character of a society dictates the severity of a crisis, dependent on the ratio of opportunity to danger.
